Swap your routine for samba drums and sequins.
February 18 – 23, 2026, Alpha to Omega Travels sweeps you into Rio’s Carnival—five dazzling nights of non‑stop rhythm, rooftop cocktails, and VIP treatment at every turn.
You’ll taste luxury, dance alongside locals, and wake up each morning knowing the hardest decision is which playlist to blast while you get ready for the next party.
Just a stone’s throw from the quieter Leme end of Copacabana, Novotel Rio de Janeiro Leme sets you up for Carnival glory with postcard‑worthy views of the entire bay.
Slip up to the Sky Leme rooftop for sunset caipirinhas by the infinity‑edge pool while Sugar Loaf lights up in the distance, then stroll barely 100 metres to the sand when the bloco calls.
The hotel’s clean mid‑century styling, airy social spaces, and on‑site fitness studio give off “urban resort” energy—luxury perks without the fuss

1. Blocos vs. Sambadrome
Street “blocos” are free, come in every flavor from samba classics to 90s‑hip‑hop mash‑ups, and start as early as 7 a.m. The Sambadrome parades are the show‑stopping Olympic event of Carnival—grab tickets early if you want a seat for the big‑league samba schools.
2. Tickets Vanish Fast
Parade seats, rooftop parties, and VIP lounges can sell out six‑plus months ahead. Lock yours in now and spare yourself the last‑minute scramble (and inflated resale prices).
3. Watch Your Valuables
Carnival is safe but crowded. Carry a slim cross‑body or money belt, keep phones out of back pockets, and leave the heirloom jewelry at the hotel.
4. Beat the Heat
February is high summer; humidity can feel like a sauna on wheels. Hydrate constantly, reapply SPF 50, and pack quick‑dry shirts and extra electrolytes for post‑party recovery.
5. Cash Is Still King
Many bloco vendors and kiosks are cash‑only. Bring small notes (in a hidden pocket) for caipirinhas, street eats, and the occasional taxi that “can’t find” the card reader.
6. Costumes Are a Conversation Starter
Glitter, wings, neon wigs—almost anything goes. Just pair the sparkle with comfy sneakers; you’ll be standing, dancing, and weaving through crowds for hours.
7. Traffic Gets Wild
Blocked streets and surging rideshare prices are part of the fun. Leave extra time for every transfer, and lean on our included shuttles whenever possible.
8. Nights Run Into Mornings
Expect parades that finish at dawn and after‑parties that roll straight into breakfast. Plan a midday nap, pack earplugs for quick shut‑eye, and remember: the hotel buffet runs till late for a reason.
