WWII Hard Side Suitcase Parris Island SC US MARINES Stickers Vintage KRAJCIR

This is a very old suitcase, perhaps from WWII era; it is 24 x 19 x 8″ at the base and is a beige or yellowish tweed-like material with leather edging and leather handle. As you can see, the handle shows quite a bit of wear but it is still intact and works just fine. Case has what I believe to be the original owner’s name on it–PFC P. Krajcir (inside and out); it has brass or brass-tone hardware. Case shows scuffing and marks from years of use; exterior has 3 U. S. Marines stickers, 1 of which has a bull dog on it and “Parris Island, S.C.” Case weighs approx. 11 1/2 lbs. Now for the inside, under the lid is a hanger area and an elasticized strip. there are 2 aluminum removable hangers in there as well as a shelf divider which sits on metal supports and swivel divider with gold-colored wood bar for trousers. Inside that divider is an open area to put things as well. There’s also a loose wooden board with same interior material on it, not sure what that was for. The material inside is a pattern of squares in dark brown and medium brown. One of the catches needs help to close. What I mean by that is when you push the latch into the hole, it may not latch until you slide the bar which you would use to open it and that allows the latch to close. Many old suitcases have this issue, might be a filed spring inside; however, it will latch as long as you know that secret. BE SURE TO CHECK THE SHIPPING; THIS ITEM IS HEAVY AND LARGE SO SHIPPING WILL NOT BE CHEAP.
