Vintage genuine leather ghurka hanging garment bag

This is a very nice, used but not damaged, genuine leather ghurka hanging garment bag. Bag was originally bought for 1400 and prices have gone up for original pieces like this since then. This here is a beautiful Marley Hodgson Ghurka No. 83 “Chhurka Packet” leather travel bag that came from a relative of mine. I’ve had it for a while now but it’s still in great condition. Sure it shows its age in some areas but only if you really focus on it. It’s handmade in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA and stamped as a registered bag. All of the stitching is solid, the hardware is heavy brass, and the zippers still work great. It has a big outside pocket with the Ghurka stamp, plus the original leather ID tag and the adjustable shoulder strap with pad. Inside, it opens up into a full garment section with a canvas lining and straps to secure clothing, and there’s also a large main zip compartment for packing other items.
